FUSE Studios Around the World

More than 130 schools and organizations currently implement FUSE. FUSE is reaching over 16,000 students across Chicago, the United States, and internationally every year.

Chicago

FUSE was started in the Chicago area in 2011 as an out-of-school STEAM learning program. It has now spread across the region to include school-based and district-wide implementations for both out-of-school and in-school STEAM learning, with full FUSE courses for both middle and high school students. District-wide partners include Schaumburg SD54, Crystal Lake SD47, and Evanston/Skokie SD65.

National

Adoption of FUSE has spread beyond Chicago to include FUSE Studios in middle and high schools in 18+ states. We are working to expand the FUSE learning community and foster collaboration for students and teachers across diverse learning environments.

International

FUSE is also being implemented outside the U.S. FUSE is partnering with the Education Department of the City Helsinki, Finland and Heureka Science Center to implement and research FUSE as part of their educational programming. FUSE is a way to realize Helsinki’s new curricular goals for phenomena-based education. In 2016, FUSE Studios opened in Siltamaki Comprehensive School and Arabia Primary in Helsinki. FUSE is also being implemented at Madatech: The National Museum of Science, Technology and Space in Haifa, Israel.
